what will i be learning?

Classes prepare you to work in a variety of medical settings including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult day care centers, hospitals, and a clients personal home.  You learn the necessary academics and receive hands on training from licensed nurses to prepare you to care for the elderly.  You'll be responsible for gathering crucial information about the patients health and assist with their basic quality of life needs.  Checking vital signs, bathing, dressing, cooking, feeding, general home tidiness, monitoring blood pressure and general health, and assisting with range of motion exercises are all included in the responsibilities of a CNA or HHA.

is there an introductory class? what if i have questions before class begins?

We always hold a brief orientation one week before the first class.  Regardless of which campus you'll be attending class, orientation always takes place at our Germantown Avenue campus at 9:30 am.  You can get any additional questions answered then to ensure you are fully prepared for the first day.  As always, you can also call us with any questions at 215-843-4262, 215-789-4745, or reach out via our contact page.
